This year we have put together the Construction and Makerspace workshop as they are both quite connected. The first day it was introduced and the children were asked what maker space meant. Many did not know, therefore they were explained that it was meant for them to use their creativity, imagination fostering Maths and Science skills. The groups were challenged to build something with their own shoes which they had to take off. Obviously they were amazed at such idea!! They also explored yoghurt pots in a variety of ways.  Through creative exploration and purposeful play, students become critical thinkers and inventors while collaborating with their peers.

As far as playing with conventional material they were introduced to the Block Centre where each group had to build a pirate boat.
