Marisa Márquez - Deputy Head Secondary

 

Marisa graduated from the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras of the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1985 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Letters, with a Linguistic orientation.

 

Since 1998 she has taught Language and Literature at different levels at St. Andrew’s Scots School, as well as filling different leadership roles within the school’s pastoral programme.  At present she is Directora de Secundaria (Head of Secondary for official matters), Middle School Coordinator and teaches World Literature in Spanish for the International Baccalaureate.

 

She has taken part in several workshops on leadership and management, teaching for comprehension, ethics of care and tutoring, mediation and conflict resolution. She also works for the International Baccalaureate, as an examiner, organising training workshops for Spanish A: Literature and as a consultant for schools in the process of implementing the Diploma programme.
