James Thomas - Deputy Head Secondary

 

James is from Bristol, UK and he arrived in Argentina in 2007.

 

He has a Bachelor in Mathematics at the University of Manchester and has a Master in Applied Mathematics from the University of Bristol.

 

At St. Andrew´s he first started as a Maths and Sea of Learning teacher, then he became Phase Leader and Head of Year at the Middle School working closely hand in hand with Marisa Marquez and the Orientation Team to help students and families with academic, learning and emotional subjects.

 

Since 2018 he has been Head of the Secondary Mathematics Dept and lead a team of eleven maths teachers from years 7 through to the IB years. He also continued to promote the joy of mathematics through the growth of IMMC, Mateclubes, OMA, an optional IGCSE and the Maths Week.

 

Recently he has been appointed Secondary Deputy Head.
