Eliana Mocorrea - Development & Communications Director

 

Eliana holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Universidad de Belgrano, graduating with honours. She won a FURP (Fundación Universitaria del Río de la Plata) scholarship to take part in a youth programme in USA, under the auspices of the Department of State of that country and ACYPL (American Council for Young Political Leaders).

 

During 1992 and 1994 she coordinated this Foundation (FURP), cooperating with the organisation of exchange programmes and conferences for national and international delegations.

 

In 1994 she began work in the areas of Institutional Relations and Development for the Universidad de San Andrés, participating actively in the setting up of this institution. She collaborated with the launching of the in-company internship programme, Annual Scholarship Campaign and the first Capital Campaign for the institution. In 1998 she became Director of Development for the University till 2000, when she went to live in USA for personal reasons.

 

She studied “Communications and Media Relations for the Non Profit Sector” at the School of Communications of Miami University and “Educational Fundraising” at Dartmouth College.

 

She took part in numerous seminars and courses on Alumni Relations, Communications and Fundraising, organized by the Center for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the National Society for Fundraising Executives (NSFRE).

 

She is a member of AEDROS (Asociación de Ejecutivos para el Desarrollo de Recursos en Organizaciones Sociales) and since 2008 is in charge of the area of Development and Communications at St. Andrew’s.
