Ben Davies is a learner, educator and leader who has worked in educational leadership for over a decade with expertise in social enterprise, student centred pedagogy, and psychology. After graduating from King Edwards School in Bath, England he went on to achieve a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (BA Hons) in Psychology and Management at the University of Leeds where his final dissertation was co-published in the Journal of Genes, Brain, and Behaviour in 2002.
Ben began his professional career working at the Royal and Sun Alliance Group and was nominated for the Rising Star Award for his innovative approach to redesigning risk assessment procedures. He subsequently went on to read Mathematics and Education at Manchester Metropolitan University before being awarded a PGCE with distinction in 2006.
He has worked as a teacher of mathematics and psychology, head of department, and assistant principal at both public and private schools in the UK, China, and here in Argentina. He was a co-founder of the social enterprise Students Teaching Students which was an Echoing Green Award semi-finalist in 2009, and worked as a leader for the innovative Food4Thought Program in the UK. He is a certified Lead Coach through Education London, and a qualified Teacher of English as a Second Language in the Mainstream Classroom (TESMC). An avid reader of Pedagogy, Psychology, and Leadership, in 2019 he was awarded a distinction for the Cambridge Diploma in Education Leadership which he studied alongside other school leaders in Buenos Aires thanks to ESSARP.
