The school gladly opened once more its doors to the Festival de Orientación Profesional (FOP), that every year, and for more than ten years now, APESA organizes for our Year 11 students. At a crucial time in their lives, when our students are beginning to ponder the close reality of university and work, parents and families from our community come to school during an afternoon to share their own paths, their own stories and choices.
It is undoubtedly a privilege to be able to welcome professionals from different areas, representing the arts, the sciences, business, NGOs, government and media, and have them tackle one on one discussions with eager and curious youngsters. It is a two way learning and teaching experience (is there any other?), that enriches everyone involved.
We would like to thank all of the parents, and all other members of our community who took part, for an extraordinary afternoon. Specially, we would like to thank APESA and the FOP organizing committee for arranging and setting up all the talks and keynote speakers.
You can have a small taste of what it was like in this link.
