This year’s Y1, 2 & 3 Concert was adapted from Elsa Bornemann’s novel “El último mago de Bilembambudín” by Anne Hopwood.

Arianna is transported with the help of a Magician and his assistants to the magical land of Bilembampudding. Using a secret password, and with the help of Teekiss Meekiss, she must collect and connect the clues to save this wonderful kingdom.

The people in Bilembampudding are suffering because of crazy King Tasilium. He has locked himself up in his tower and he is attacking Mother Nature, her children and her work…contaminating rivers, killing plants and animals for fun.

In Bilembampudding Arianna meets the kind ghost Osofronia and Gustava, the talented rock artist, who lead her to Mother Nature’s house. With Arianna and Teekiss Meekiss’ help, Mother Nature calls upon her children -Air, Water, Fire and Earth- to bring King Tasilium to his senses.

After many years of madness and disrespect to beloved Mother Nature, King Tasilium promises he will reign to serve his people and fight those who might come to harm them.

The Concert was co-directed by Anne Hopwood and Oscar Llóbenes, accompanied by Facundo Pesce on piano and percussion; and lights, set and costume design by María Elena and Clio Earnshaw.

Thank you to all involved for making this play a success!

I’m starting with the man in the mirror
I’m asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make that…
