On September 2, Punta Chica Primary had an Assembly to celebrate our school’s 176th Anniversary. We were joined by our Kindergarten.

Oscar Llóbenes played a Scottish song on the bagpipes and the children sang the song, reading the words which were on a screen.

 Miss Moira, prepared a Power Point about the THISTLE, national emblem of Scotland and our School symbol, comparing the flower of the thistle with the spirit of Learning at St. Andrew’s.  In this way, the beautiful flower represents an open mind, and its strong roots a sense of belonging and identity.

We ended the celebration singing the School Song.
