From this week on, for one month, the three year olds will be enjoying different traditional stories:  The little red hen, The gingerbread man, Goldilocks and the three bears, and The three little pigs. Each week teachers will incorporate a new way of telling a story, with big books, audio books, puppets, table stories, and videos. Children will also recreate the stories listened, using puppets and dramatizing different roles.

This week we started getting to know The little red hen, by watching a YouTube video on the whiteboard. Then we played a Math game with wheat grains, and finally we recreated the story using the characters on a table story.

We think this will be the beginning of a fun and creative unit in which the children will learn those traditional stories that their parents  heard from their parents years ago. We consider that keeping these traditions alive is very important and formative for our children.

We hope you enjoy the photos.
