As part of the Food and Nutrition Project, Pillbugs and Dragonflies had a “cooking week”. They has three cooking during which they invited some parents to prepare healthy meals.

All the children dressed as “cooks”. They brought their kitchen apron and cook hats.

The children not only has the opportunity to learn and prepare meals with the parents, but paid special attention to what healthy ingredients were used in each recipe, as well as trying different food.

They prepared , meat balls, waffles, fruit sticks, sandwiches, carrot cake, banana and tangerine bread, banana sticks, and different  smoothies.

While they waited for the food to get cooked, they wrote down the recipes to make their own cooking book.

They had a great time sharing, cooking and learning!
